Fasting is the change of every part of our life, because the sacrifice of the fast is not the abstinence but the distancing from sins. Therefore, whoever limits the fast to the deprivation of food, he is the one who, in reality, abhors and ridicules the fast.

Great rap should have all kinds of unresolved layers that you don’t necessarily figure out the first time you listen to it. Instead it plants dissonance in your head. You can enjoy a song that knocks in the club or has witty punch lines the first time you listen to it. But great rap retains mystery. It leaves shit rattling around in your head that won’t make sense till the fifth or sixth time through. It challenges you.
Which is the other reason hip-hop is controversial: People don’t bother trying to get it. The problem isn’t in the rap or the rapper or the culture. The problem is that so many people don’t even now how to listen to the music.
Meaning of the Train in the movie Inception
This clicked on me while someone was talking in my philosophy discussion class and he lost where he was going. For those who got mind fucked by Inception here’s more: You ever hear of the phrase Train of Thought? Think of the train in the movie as a metaphor for that phrase Train of Thought. Think also about the phrase ‘losing your Train of Thought’ and the sudden appearance of Cobb’s train when it was not supposed to during the infiltration of Fischer’s mind, and take into consideration that instability of Cobb’s subconscious. Also think about the train’s significance as the couple’s exit from their dream world, and how losing a figurative ‘train of thought’ parallels that loss of sureness of reality when his wife wakes up. ~badrias
Jayson’s very 1st art show last night in Berkeley! He had to keep it all PG-13, which was surprising, but his shiiiit still delivered!! Hella proud! :)
STOP ASKING! I’m obvi writing with my left hand, broseph of arimathea.
I’ve never been asked “How do you write?”, but yeah, what’s with people acting like you’re from a different planet when they find out you’re left handed? It’s like “oh shit, son, what’s wrong with you?! You’re using the wrong hand!” It vexes and confuses me to no ends.
