This clicked on me while someone was talking in my philosophy discussion class and he lost where he was going. For those who got mind fucked by Inception here’s more: You ever hear of the phrase Train of Thought? Think of the train in the movie as a metaphor for that phrase Train of Thought. Think also about the phrase ‘losing your Train of Thought’ and the sudden appearance of Cobb’s train when it was not supposed to during the infiltration of Fischer’s mind, and take into consideration that instability of Cobb’s subconscious. Also think about the train’s significance as the couple’s exit from their dream world, and how losing a figurative ‘train of thought’ parallels that loss of sureness of reality when his wife wakes up. ~badrias
